(Yeah, right, who has that kind of game time any more? Dang college students/unemployed/retirees.) So I thought I may as well stretch it into a long term project rather than burn out attempting to farm 12 hours without stopping the first few days. The less fantastic news is that relic farming is always intentionally grindy. I have neither of them and I’ve been enjoying the basic Loki’s invisibility for certain missions of late, so this was very motivating for me to declare “farm relics to get the unvaulted primes” as a long term goal until July 3 or done (Preferably done way before that final vault sealing date.) Well, in the case of Warframe, I know why.Īt the end of April, they announced the Prime Vault was unsealing to make Loki Prime earnable once more, as well as Volt Prime. This mostly means that I’ve traded off staring nightly at stuff that looks like this: Not a few days after changing my blog layout to favor bigger pictures, in the expectation that I might be playing more simulation style games with lovely scenery like theHunter or new games where screenshots would help to illustrate the experience, I have suddenly decided that NOW is the perfect time to re-focus on the same old games and make a concentrated push for long term goal projects. What do you guys think? Maybe I am just frustrated, having come off trying to get untouchable on an early level (warmage difficulty even!) but failing three times in a row.I don’t know why I even try to expect consistency from myself. This just seems like something tacked on from the previous games that doesn't really fit with the changes made in 3, something that this game suffers from a bit (I am looking at you, wind belt - you were so much fun and useful in 2, but are difficult to use effectively in 3 - and I miss the void wall, which was a huge reason to even use the wind belt!).Since dying is way more common on harder maps and difficulties, maybe give an extra skull for just not dying instead of teasing us 2 for taking no damage.Meaning taking damage is expected and pretty much impossible in some scenarios. They took away dying costing you rift points because it is way easier to take damage in this game than 1 and 2.on Co-op the number of times I get hit by a projectile meant for my partner and not me is infuriating - yesterday I went around a corner only to instantly get hit by an arrow intended for my partner. There are many other things that would be cooler to give you 2 skulls for - maybe having at least one 10x combo or not using any trinkets. For the expansion maps, flyers can hit you from very far away, and the camera does not often allow you to see both ground and air enemies. There are times I never see the crossbow orcs firing at me because some ogre or troll was close to me Unlike OMD2, in 3 the ranged enemies can and will fire through the other orcs.

  • If you ever need to repair a barricade quickly, or place a quick trap, you can very easily get hit by some random arrow.
  • Melee weapons pretty much cannot be used when trying this, as well as many secondary attacks with ranged weapons as you must be close to use them effectively, even some trinkets you cannot risk using for this reason.
  • Given the camera, sometimes you cannot see projectiles (like when you are close to a wall and your character takes up 70% of the screen.
  • Plus, I never liked the untouchable bonus becuase:

Yes, it is a carry-over from OMD2, but I found it WAY easier to get untouchable in 2 than 3. I get what they were going for with the untouchable bonus, awarding 2 skulls for not taking any damage, but let's face it - it is a stupid decision to give you an award for this instead of something else. I love OMD3, but some of the design decisions make no sense.
